Writing is so underrated.

I think we have now become so independent on the internet and instant messaging to convey our thoughts but most of us hardly even have the time to pen down our thoughts anymore. I remember being in primary school and having a penpal who lived in new jersey and i sent her stickers and stuff and was eagerly anticipating her reply… and i only ever received one letter from her. haha oh well

Receiving letters in the mailbox is such a delightful event. And reading them after is just so heart warming! I wish people wrote to each other more often :( I had a korea-centric dream last night and throughout the dream i was speaking in korean! (must have been due to the fact that i was watching some korean drama before i fell asleep and left the tv on…) Decided to reread the letters my friends gave me when i left and i even got one letter sent to Singapore last month. I really have to give it up to my Japanese friends, they are just so, 貼心 and thoughtful! i miss them alot :(

I just wrote a letter to Kanae! Since she doesn’t use Skype or msn or anything else, we have been writing letters to each other. I miss writing in Korean! I think when you are able to communicate in another language you become able to express yourself and your feelings differently, say things you’ve never been able to say in your native language (i.e mushy stuff lol).

I sent out a whole bunch of christmas cards when i was in korea and i’m happy everyone got them hoho and i got some unexpected letters too; oh letters letters love letters, why won’t people write more? Technology, such a double edged sword….
